ThermalWeld can help

You’ve searched the internet for an affordable alternative to the high cost of Head Gasket Replacement and may be more confused than ever. This is a condition that primarily affects older vehicles and there is little room for trial and error diagnostics. ThermalWeld has the Technical Support Team that can help you cut through the confusion concerning the multitude of “quick fixes.”

What you require is real Technical Support from a Company that specializes in the repair of cylinder head gaskets. ThermalWeld has been in the Mobile Head Gasket Repair Business since 1997 and is the leading authority in the art of Chemical Head Gasket Repair. We say “art” because our system of repair is a process not just a chemical solution.

Our success rates and credibility are based on the knowledge of what is repairable, which we have been refining over fourteen years. Not all engines are repairable despite the unsubstantiated claims of other companies. We know which vehicles can be repaired and which ones cannot. For example, Cadillac Northstar engines require a whole different process that we invented.

Automotive repair is a multi-billion dollar industry that thrives on your lack of knowledge. This is especially true when it comes to “quick fix miracle cures” applied to very complex mechanical problems. "If it's too good to be true it probably is."

Head gasket failure is classified as major engine damage reducing the value of most vehicles to scrap metal. Here are your options in order of cost:

  • Replace your head gasket - price range $600 - $4,000 by a repair shop or dealership.
  • Buy a used engine – average price range $200 - $800, plus installation.
  • Chemical Repair – price range $5 - $100. There are dozens of over-the-counter internet products all claiming a quick and easy repair - don’t believe it!

ThermalWeld’s only goal is to repair your car’s head gasket. Our experience backed by simple Fixed or Free policy has allowed us to maintain a flawless BBB record for the past 15 years. No complaints!

What You Really Need to Know

Blown head gaskets are one of the most expensive automotive repairs you will ever encounter and they are frequently misdiagnosed.

Head gasket damage often goes undetected after other suspected cooling system components have been repaired. When this happens your car will continue to overheat with no obvious reason why. An experienced mechanic will normally perform a Block Test to determine if exhaust gases are present in the cooling system. That simple test verifies the condition of the head gasket and should be part of the diagnostic process.

Beware

Avoid Companies That...

  • Charge more for an eight cylinder than a four cylinder engine. Ninety percent of the time cylinder head gasket failure occurs in two cylinders next to each other. Factors requiring increased quantities of chemical include severely damaged gaskets and cooling systems larger than a five gallon capacity - not number of cylinders.
  • Claim to have "special formulas" for your specific vehicles. These companies have no real technical support. A blown head gasket is a breach between the water jacket around the cylinder and the combustion chamber. The object is to effectively repair that breach. Separate "formulas" for different vehicles do not exist.
  • Claims to give Lifetime Warranties that are conditional. Any company that requires you to spend more money to get back the money you have already spent should be avoided. What you want is an Unconditional Money Back Guarantee without third party verification and inflated return shipping costs.
  • Incredible unsubstantiated facts:
    • Stronger than original head gasket
    • 95% success rate
    • Permanent Fix
    • Lifetime Repair
    • Mechanic's Choice
  • Your should not accept a retreatment from a company before you know why the first treatment did not work. In most cases the retreament voids your warranty.
